San Mateo County Election Results Update Schedule

Redwood City, CA - The San Mateo County Elections Office will issue election results updates on our website, www.shapethefuture.org, according to the following schedule:

• - Fri., Nov. 7 4:30 p.m.
  
• - Wed., Nov. 12 4:30 p.m.
  
• - Fri., Nov. 14 4:30 p.m.
  

Ballots that remain to be counted include those that arrived in the mail on Election Day, Vote by Mail ballots that were dropped off at the polls on Election Day, paper ballots cast at the polls, and provisional ballots. In order to keep the wait in line to a minimum, once all of the electronic voting booths were filled, voters were offered the opportunity to cast a paper ballot. Therefore, the number of paper ballots cast at the polls on Election Day for this election will be greater than it has been in the past.

“Signature verification of the Vote by Mail ballots and research on provisional ballots must be done before those ballots can be counted. However, processing and counting the paper ballots cast at the polls has begun,” said Warren Slocum, Chief Elections Officer.
