Final Official Election Results Available for the
12th Congressional Special Open Primary Election

Redwood City, CA - Today, Warren Slocum, the Chief Elections Officer for the County of San Mateo, submitted the official election results for the 12th Congressional Special Open Primary Election to the Secretary of State’s Office.

“The people have spoken and overwhelmingly supported Jackie Speier; she was sworn in on April 10th as the newest member of 110th Congress representing the 12th district,” said Slocum.

Official results are released upon completion of the canvass, which is an audit of the election that takes place immediately following an election. These official election results provide a complete picture of the election with vote totals that are broken down by party, jurisdiction and precinct. A breakdown of the Vote by Mail ballots cast and the polling place ballots cast will be made available on a precinct by precinct basis, too. Anyone may review or download and print a complete copy of the election results from the San Mateo County portion of the district at the San Mateo County Elections Office website, www.shapethefuture.org.

Both the City and County of San Francisco the County of San Mateo submit their official vote count to the Secretary of State for certification of the election, the elections official for the Special Election.
