Procedures Classes - (Mandatory) Oct 2 - Nov 3
Thank you for your willingness to serve as an Election Officer in the upcoming November Presidential General Election!
The Procedures class is mandatory for all poll workers. The class will introduce any new legal requirements and all procedural changes for this election. It will also review the steps of being a poll worker from your arrival at 6 a.m. to your departure at about 9:30 p.m. and answer any questions you may have. Think of it as Precinct Operations 101.
For this election, there is only one class (the Procedures Class) that will be offered, and it is mandatory. You will be paid for attending if you serve as a poll worker on Election Day.

Class Descriptions
| Apprentice Class - |
This is our “First Timers” class. The class is a combination of lecture and hands-on training that will give everyone experience and practice in setting up, connecting, and disassembling the eSlate voting machines. The class is three hours in length. Any Election Officer, Field Technician, RAC or POCT can take this course. We strongly encourage "first-timers" to attend an eSlate lab class as well. |
| Journeyman Class – |
This class is primarily a lecture with hands-on exercises built into the curriculum. The class is designed for the poll worker who has worked at least one election and is more knowledgeable than a "first-timer". The class is two and a half hours long. We encourage every Election Officer, Field Tech, RAC or POCT to take this course. |
| Masters Class – |
This class is ONLY for those Election Officers that have worked five or more elections. Any Election Officer who has not worked AT LEAST five elections will be asked to reschedule into a Journeyman or Apprentice Class. The Masters Class is exclusively "performance based” training with voter and Election Officer scenarios and requires that the attendees have a strong foundation in polling place procedures. This class is two hours in length. |
