What is the importance of tracking and why are you doing it?

Understanding why we are the Memory Packs will help you to understand the election night process as well.  Many citizens, groups and organizations throughout the county rely on the results of elections for their future, or the future of their city or district.  It is critical to stakeholders, on both sides of important issues, to know as soon as possible the results of elections.

By tracking the Memory Packs (contain election results for a particular precinct) leaving the poll sites we can show all of the stakeholders when and where the results are scheduled to arrive.  This allows interested parties the time to prepare for arriving results, or to check and compare data as it arrives.  Our view is that this process should be more open and we will continue to improve on these efforts.
